Management, use and disposal of buildings

I1143Management, use and disposal of building acquired under this Chapter

Where a planning authority acquires a building or other land under this Chapter, it may make any arrangements for the management, use or disposal of the building or land that it considers appropriate for the purpose of preserving the building or land.

For further provision about the use of land that a planning authority acquires by agreement under section 136, see sections 232, 233 and 235 (appropriation, disposal and development), 242 (overriding rights of possession) and 243 (joint body to hold land) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (c. 8).

Where the Welsh Ministers acquire a building or other land under section 137, they may—

a

make any arrangements they consider appropriate for the management, custody or use of the building or land, and

b

dispose of the building or land, or deal with the building or land in any other way.
