SCHEDULE 11Educational records
Northern Ireland

This paragraph applies to any record of information which—
a
is processed by or on behalf of the Board of Governors of, or a teacher at, any grant-aided school in Northern Ireland,
b
relates to any person who is or has been a pupil at the school, and
c
originated from or was supplied by or on behalf of any of the persons specified in paragraph 8,
other than information which is processed by a teacher solely for the teacher’s own use.

In sub-paragraph (1) “grant-aided school” has the same meaning as in the [S.I. 1986/594 (N.I.3).] Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986.

The persons referred to in paragraph 7(1) are—
a
a teacher at the school,
b
an employee of an education and library board, other than such a teacher,
c
the pupil to whom the record relates, and
d
a parent (as defined by Article 2(2) of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986) of that pupil.
