The Gas Act 1965 is amended as follows.

In section 17 (provisions in relation to gas-related accidents), in subsection (5)(a) for “fire authority” substitute “ fire and rescue authority ”.

In section 28(1) (interpretation), for the definition of “fire authority” substitute—

“fire and rescue authority” means a fire and rescue authority under the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004;
