Rule 2 of the Plant Varieties and Seeds Tribunals Rules 1974 (interpretation) is amended as follows.

In paragraph (1), in the definition of “the chairman” for the words from “appointed” to “Northern Ireland” in the second place substitute “ appointed in accordance with paragraph 2, 3 or 4 of Schedule 3 to the Plant Varieties Act 1997 ”.
