24 In section 249 (duration of licence)—

(a) in subsection (1), for “subsections (2) and (3)” substitute “subsection (3)”;

(b) omit subsection (2);

(c) in subsection (3), omit the words from “and subsection (2)” to the end;

(d) omit subsection (4).
