The Director General

If the Director General is designated as a person having the powers and privileges of a constable, the Director General has—

a

in England and Wales and the adjacent United Kingdom waters, all the powers and privileges of an English and Welsh constable; and

b

outside the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom waters, all the powers and privileges of a constable that are exercisable overseas.

But that is subject to any limitations included in the designation.
