Section 144: Consumer redress orders
574.This section introduces Schedule 14 which enables the Authority to impose requirements on a regulated person to pay compensation to consumers of gas or electricity if the person has contravened certain conditions or requirements and the contravention has caused loss, damage or inconvenience. Alternatively the Authority may impose a requirement to provide other means of redress, for example a requirement to issue a statement setting out the contravention and its consequences.
