Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (c. 42) E+W+S

41 E+W+SThe Local Government and Housing Act 1989 is amended as follows.

42 E+W+SIn section 67(1) (application of, and orders under, Part 5)—

(a) at the end of paragraph (d) (before the “and”) insert—

“(da) a registered society within the meaning of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014;”;

(b) in paragraph (e) omit “under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 or”.

43 E+W+SIn section 69(8) (companies subject to local authority influence) for “an industrial and provident society” substitute “ a registered society within the meaning of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 ”.
