122ZAOrders for further education corporations in England to become higher education corporations

The Secretary of State may by order provide for a further education corporation in England to become a higher education corporation.

The first members of the higher education corporation are to be appointed by the governing body of the further education corporation.

On such date as may be specified in the order—

a

the corporation ceases to be a further education corporation and becomes a higher education corporation, and

b

any member of the further education corporation who is not re-appointed by the governing body as a member of the higher education corporation ceases to hold office.
