70Commencement and short title

This Act comes into force on the day on which it is passed (subject to subsection (2)).

Section 11 and Schedule 14 (amendments to this Act consequential on the Housing and Planning Act 2016) come into force on such day or days as the Secretary of State may appoint by regulations made by statutory instrument.

Regulations under subsection (2)—
a
may include consequential, supplementary, incidental, transitional or saving provision;
b
may make different provision for different purposes.

This Act may be cited as the High Speed Rail (London - West Midlands) Act 2017.
