Information acquired by an examining officer may be supplied—

a

to the Secretary of State for use in relation to immigration;

b

to the Commissioners for Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs or a customs officer;

c

to a constable;

d

to the National Crime Agency;

e

to a person specified in regulations made by the Secretary of State for use of a kind specified in the regulations.

Information acquired by a customs officer or an immigration officer may be supplied to an examining officer.

A person may be specified in regulations under this paragraph only if the person exercises public functions (whether or not in the United Kingdom).

Regulations under this paragraph must be made by statutory instrument.

A statutory instrument containing regulations under this paragraph may not be made unless a draft of the instrument has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
