CHAPTER 2 E+W Offenders aged under 18

Detention under this Chapter E+W

260 Detention under section 250 [F1 , 252A] or 259 E+W

(1) Detention under section 250 [F2 , 252A] or 259 is to be in such place and under such conditions—

(a) as the Secretary of State may direct, or

(b) as the Secretary of State may arrange with any person.

(2) A person detained pursuant to directions or arrangements made by the Secretary of State under this section is deemed to be in legal custody.
