In section 398 of the Sentencing Act 2020 (ancillary or inchoate offences), in subsection (4), in the words after paragraph (b), for “9” substitute “ 8 or 12 ”.

The amendment made by sub-paragraph (1) does not apply where a person is convicted of an offence before the day on which this paragraph comes into force.
