39.—(1) These Regulations are without prejudice to—
(a)sections 58 to 60 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 M1 (appointment and dismissal of teachers in schools with a religious character etc); and
(b)section 21 of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 M2 (management of denominational schools).
(2) Schedule 5 (amendments to legislation) shall have effect.
