In Part 8, in section 64—
a
in subsection (2), omit “Subject to subsection (5),”;
b
after subsection (2), insert the following subsection—
2A
Subsections (1) and (2) have effect subject to section 64A.
c
omit subsections (5) and (6);
d
in subsection (7), omit “It is hereby declared (for the avoidance of doubt) that”;
e
in subsection (8), omit the definitions of “British Transport Police”, “fire brigade”, “Ministry of Defence Police”, “prison officer”, “Royal Parks Constabulary” and “United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority Constabulary” (and the preceding “and”).
