National Care Standards Commission (Registration) Regulations 2001 E+W+S

3.  In regulation 2 of the National Care Standards Commission (Registration) Regulations 2001 M1 , in the definition of “relative”—

(a) after “spouse” (in each place) insert “ or civil partner ”; and

(b) at the end, insert “ or as if they were civil partners ”.

The functions of the National Care Standards Commission under Part 2 of the Care Standards Act 2000 (c. 14) are transferred either to the Commission for Healthcare Audit and Inspection or to the Commission for Social Care Inspection in accordance with section 102 of the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003 (c. 43).
