6. Where so required by the engineer the promoter shall to the reasonable satisfaction of the engineer fence off a specified work or a protective work or take such other steps as the engineer may require to be taken for the purpose of separating a specified work or a protective work from a waterway, whether on a temporary or permanent basis or both.E+W
