This Order may be cited as the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008 (Commencement No.2 and Transitional Provision) and (Commencement No.1 Amendment) Order 2009 and shall come into force in accordance with paragraph (2).

This article, and articles 2 and 3 shall come into force on 1st September 2009, and article 4 shall come into force on 1st October 2009.

In this Order—

• “the Act” means the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008;

• “the 1990 Act” means the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 19902; and

• “the 2009 Order” means the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008 (Commencement No.1 and Transitional Provisions) Order 20093.
