The Supreme Court Fees (Amendment) Order 2011

The Lord Chancellor, with the agreement of the Treasury, makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 52 of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005(1).

The Lord Chancellor has consulted in accordance with section 52(4) to (6) of that Act.

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Supreme Court Fees (Amendment) Order 2011 and comes into force on 5th August 2011.

Amendment of the Supreme Court Fees Order 2009

2.  Schedule 1 (Fees payable in the Supreme Court) of the Supreme Court Fees Order 2009(2) is amended as follows.

3.  In column 2 of fee 1.1 (on filing an application for permission to appeal), for “£800” substitute “£1,000”.

This Order amends the Supreme Court Fees Order 2009 (S.I. 2009/2131) to increase the fee for an application for permission to appeal to the Supreme Court from £800 to £1,000.
