19. In section 1(3) of the Family Law Reform Act 1987(1) (general principle of construction as to family relationships)—
(a)in paragraph (ba)—
(i)before “a party to” insert “married to a woman or”, and
(ii)after “void” insert “marriage or”,
(b)in paragraph (bb)(i), after “is” insert “married to or”, and
(c)in paragraph (bb)(ii), after “was” insert “married to or”.

1987 c. 42; paragraphs (ba) and (bb) of section 1(3) were inserted by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008, Schedule 6, paragraph 24(1) and (2). There are other amendments to section 1 not relevant to this Order.
