Data Protection Act 1998

118.—(1) Section 31 of the Data Protection Act 1998 (regulatory activity)(1) is amended as follows.

(2) In subsection (5), for “the Office of Fair Trading” substitute “the Competition and Markets Authority”.

(3) In subsection (5B), for “Office of Fair Trading” substitute “Competition and Markets Authority”.

1998 c. 29. Section 31 was amended by Schedule 25 to the Enterprise Act 2002 and by S.I. 2006/3363. There are other amendments to section 31 but none is relevant to this Order.
