Section 100 of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (disabled persons for the purposes of Part 1) is amended as follows.

In subsection (2), before paragraph (a) insert—
za
the person is registered in a register maintained under section 77(1) or (3) of the Care Act 2014 (registers of sight-impaired adults, disabled adults, etc.),
zb
in the opinion of the social services authority, the person falls within a category mentioned in section 77(4) of that Act (persons for whom register may be maintained),

In subsection (5)—
a
after “regarded as” insert “having a disability for the purposes of section 77 of the Care Act 2014 or as”;
b
omit the words from “(which define” to the end.
