Directions to the appropriate agency: installations outside the United KingdomE+W

64.—(1) This regulation applies where an appropriate authority receives information [F1from a member State] in relation to the operation of an installation outside the United Kingdom which is likely to have a significant negative effect on the environment of England or Wales.

(2) F2... The appropriate authority must direct the appropriate agency to take such steps as it considers appropriate to—

(a)bring the information to the attention of persons likely to be affected by the operation of the installation, and

(b)provide them with an opportunity to comment on the information.
