For the purposes of these Regulations, the Basic Safety Standards Directive is to be read in accordance with this paragraph.

When interpreting the Basic Safety Standards Directive for the purposes of these Regulations, “radioactive waste” has the meaning given in paragraph 3 of Part 2 of Schedule 23.
