The East Suffolk (Local Government Changes) Order 2018

Coming into force in accordance with article 1
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 10, 11, 12 and 13 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 20071 (“the 2007 Act”), makes the following Order.
This Order implements a proposal under section 8(2A)2 of the 2007 Act that there should be a new non-metropolitan district and council for East Suffolk.
A draft of this Order was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 240(6) of the 2007 Act.
