125.—(1) In section 1(1) of the Age of Marriage Act (Northern Ireland) 1951(1) (marriage void if either party under 16), omit the proviso (defence, to certain sexual offences, where defendant has reasonable cause to believe girl against whom offence committed was defendant’s wife).
(2) The amendment made by paragraph (1) applies only in relation to offences committed on or after 13th January 2020.
