Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015 N.I.

74.—(1) The Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015(1) is amended as follows.

(2) In Article 45 (meaning of “couple”)—

(a) for paragraphs (1) and (2) substitute—

“(1) In this Part “couple” means—

(a) two people who are married to, or civil partners of, each other and are members of the same household, or

(b) two people who are not married to, or civil partners of, each other but are living together as if spouses of each other.”, and

(b) in paragraph (3)(b)—

(i) for “a man and a woman” substitute “two people”, and

(ii) for “as husband and wife” substitute “as if spouses of each other”.
