Amendment of Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No 996/201039

Article 5 (obligation to investigate) is amended as follows.

In paragraph 1—
a
after “Every accident or serious incident” insert “in the United Kingdom”;
b
omit the words from “in the Member State” to the end.

In paragraph 2—
a
for “a Member State” substitute “the United Kingdom”;
b
for “Member State of registration” substitute “United Kingdom”.

In paragraph 4—
a
at the start, for “Safety investigation authorities” substitute “The safety investigation authority”;
b
for “the national legislation of the Member States, when they expect” substitute “any relevant enactment, when it expects”.
