1.   The controls referred to in Article 9 shall include: U.K.

(a) inspection of certificates or accompanying documents, termed documentary inspection;

(b) physical examination, including where necessary the taking of samples;

(c) inspection of means of transport.

2.   Such controls may be limited to documentary inspection, while physical examination may be undertaken as considered necessary.] U.K.
