Regulation 6 (permitted work) of the Hedgerows Regulations 199734 is amended as follows.

In paragraph (1)(h)—
a
after “Secretary of State” insert “or a strategic highways company”;
b
after “his” insert “or its”;
c
after “he”, wherever occurring, insert “or it”;

After paragraph (3) insert—

In paragraph (1)(h) “strategic highways company” means a company for the time being appointed under Part 1 of the Infrastructure Act 201535.
