2.—(1) The Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2011(1) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2(1), for the definition of “the Directive”, substitute—
““the Directive” means Directive 2008/57/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 on the interoperability of the rail system within the Community (Recast)(2), as amended by—
(a)
Commission Directive 2009/131/EC of 16 October 2009 amending Annex VII to Directive 2008/57/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the interoperability of the rail system within the Community(3),
(b)
Commission Directive 2011/18/EU of 1 March 2011 amending Annexes II, V and VI to Directive 2008/57/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the interoperability of the rail system within the Community(4), and
(c)
Commission Directive 2013/9/EU of 11 March 2013 amending Annex III to Directive 2008/57/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the interoperability of the rail system within the Community(5);”.
(3) In regulation 12(2)(b), for “and technical compatibility” substitute “, technical compatibility and accessibility”.
