Commencement

137.Most of the provisions in the Act will be brought into force on a day or days to be appointed by the Secretary of State, by order. Part 11, other than section 57 and Schedule 2 (Repeals), came into force on Royal Assent, including the power to make regulations or orders under or by virtue of the Act. Sections 28 and 46 are intended to come into force two months after Royal Assent.
