15.—(1) The School Governance (New Schools) (England) Regulations 2007 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulations 3, 5, 6 and 7 for “local education authority” in each place where those words occur substitute “local authority”.
(3) For regulation 9 substitute—
9.—(1) In these Regulations “temporary authority governor” means a person appointed to be a member of the temporary governing body of a new school by the local authority.
(2) A person is disqualified from appointment as a temporary authority governor of a school if that person is eligible to be a temporary staff governor of a school.”.
(4) In regulations 10, 11 and 12(1) and (3)(c) for “local education authority” in each place where those words occur substitute “local authority”.
(5) For regulation 12(3)(d) substitute—
“(d)is employed by the local authority in connection with their education functions.”.
(6) In regulation 15(1) and (2) for “local education authority” substitute “local authority”.
(7) In regulations 16(1)(c), 17(1)(c), 18(1)(c), 19(1)(b), 20(1)(b) and 21(1)(c) for “temporary LEA governors” substitute “temporary authority governors”.
(8) In regulations 26, 27, 33, 34, 38, 40, 48, 52, 53 and in Schedule 1 for “local education authority” in each place where those words occur substitute “local authority”.
