The Registrar General, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 57(2)(f), (3)(i), (4), (6) and (7) and 61(2) of the Local Electoral Administration and Registration Services (Scotland) Act 2006(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, with the approval of the Scottish Ministers in accordance with section 60(1) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:
2006 asp 14. Section 57(7) provides that references in section 57(6) to information include references to information of prescribed kinds, and the reference to recipients includes a reference to recipients of prescribed descriptions. Section 60 contains a definition of “prescribed” and applies a definition of “Registrar General” in section 1 of the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Scotland) Act 1965 (c. 49) relevant to the exercise of statutory powers under which these Regulations are made.
