The route of the new trunk road is north of Builth Wells and just south of Newbridge-on-Wye in the County of Powys as follows:—
a route about 5.46 kilometres in length, starting at a point on the existing trunk road (A470) about 150 metres north of its junction with the unclassified road U1318 adjacent to the property known as Gwern-yfed-fach (marked A on the deposited plan) and then extending in a northerly direction to a point on the existing trunk road (A470) at its junction with the private road leading to the properties known as Dolwen and Woodcastle Farm in Newbridge-on-Wye (marked B on the deposited plan).
The lengths of trunk road ceasing to be trunk road are routes in the County of Powys as follows:—
(1) that length of the trunk road (A470) about 250 metres in length situated between a point adjacent to the property known as Gwern-yfed-fawr (marked 1 on the deposited plan) and a point about 100 metres south of its junction with the U1326 Builth Road (marked 2 on the deposited plan).
(2) that length of the A470 trunk road, about 4.95 kilometres in length, situated between a point adjacent to its junction with the private means of access leading to the property known as Pen-y-banc (marked 3 on the deposited plan) and including the Dulas Brook Bridge at Cwm-bach and the Pont-ar-Ithon Bridge, and a point adjacent to the property known as Dolithon, south of Newbridge-on-Wye (marked 4 on the deposited plan).
